Apple has launched an update of MacOS 12.2 Beta to public examiners in its beta program, only the day after it is available to the developer. For Note 9to5mac, the OS is equipped with a new music application that has been rebuilt Apple as a full original application. Apple introduced the MacOS special music application back in 2019, but saves some iTunes elements for some parts, which means still displaying web content in the application.
Based on what 9To5mac has seen, MacOS 12.2 beta using AppKit, the framework is needed to provide the original interface application. There will be no big difference in appearance, but new applications apparently will work faster. Finding songs in music, for example, will appear faster because the results will be displayed on the original interface, while scroll will feel smoother and the trackpad movement will feel more responsive.
In addition to new music applications, MacOS 12.2 will also make scroll in Safari finer for the 14-and-16-inch MacBook Pro model that supports refresh speed of up to 120Hz. To test MacOS 12.2, you must download and install the Beta access utility Developer MacOS. You can then access the latest beta update in the System Preference software update section.
