Indian train:

The defending champion began with an explosion by banging out Odisha 51-19 on day 1. They followed up by defeating Bihar 42-22 the following day and then 49-30 victory over Punjab helped them advance to the quarter-finals. Indian Railways held a dominant show against Tamil Nadu who won 44-26.

Goa sealed the semifinal bed that won 38-41 against Uttar Pradesh in a difficult battle.

In heavyweight battles, Haryana defeated the service (finalists from the last five editions) 28-48.

Maharashtra advanced 21-39 to end the escape of Chandigarh’s dream.

In the first semifinals, Haryana drove the Meetu & Mohit Goyat raids to get a quick advantage over Maharashtra led by Aslam Inamdar. However, the last one fired again when Maharashtra led 5 points in the first round with 11-16. They maintain their superiority with super 10 from Akash Shinde and High 5 from Kiran Laxman. The 65th edition of the winner then won the match with a difference of 27-33 against the home team.

The second semifinals saw the Indian train secure the initial advantage and 36-13 in the first round. While Shrikant Jadhav with 7 points is Goa’s top scorer, they cannot return as Pawan Sehratawat with 14 points ensure that the defending champions remain superior. When the Indian train was seen to secure another crown after winning 43-20, their last meeting against Maharashtra seemed balanced.

Indian Railways won the last fight outperform Maharashtra 38-21. Pawan Sehratawat with 9 points of attack ensured the defending champion holding a strong grip throughout the match. They raised the Maharashtra attack with a total of 13 tackle points and made sure they had another winner trophy to be added to the three previous titles.
