Haryana:
Winning the 58-5 opening match against BSNL arranged a rolling ball for the home team. 55-24 victory over Western Bengal and 42-30 victory against Karnataka made them a force that must be taken into account. Spread Rajasthan 24-48 in round 16 and then appeared as the winner against star-studded services in the next round legally made Haryana get a ticket to the semi-finals.
Maharashtra:
Defeated Tripura 69-20 on day 1 and then victory over Gujarat 54-22 and Tamil Nadu 39-30 on day 2 placed Maharashtra against Kerala in round 16. The 30-48 victory against them was followed by the performance of 21-39 against Chandigarh. The semifinal meeting against Haryana must be touted as a thrilling business.
Journey so far:

When the Indian train was seen to secure another crown after winning 43-20, their last meeting against Maharashtra seemed balanced.
