MUMBAI: Actor Akshay Kumar, who is one of the high payment stars in Bollywood, has been reported by the Department of Income Tax as the ‘Highest Taxpayer’ in the country again. Honorary certificate for Akshay from the Income Tax Department has made a round on the internet, but so far there has been no confirmation from the actor.

Akshay is also a part of ‘selfiee’, which will come out on February 24, 2023. The upcoming drama comedy will also have Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha in an important role.
Selfiee ‘is a remake of Hindi from the Malayalam film’ Driving License ‘, starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the main role.
Now, Akshay and Emraan will repeat their role for remake. The film maker Raj Mehta participated to lead the project. This was produced by the late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen.
Akshay will also be seen opposite Radhika Madan in Remake Hindi from the film Tamil Suriya ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Apart from Akshay and Radhika, Paresh Rawal will repeat his role from the original Tamil.
Director Sudha Kongara also returned to lead this film. The shooting began in April. So far there has been no release date announced.
